Determine Freight Density

One of the factors that helps determine the freight rate is the shipment's density. The total weight of the shipment is divided by the total cubic feet to determine the density of the freight.

Calculate Freight Density
Length (inches)
Width (inches)
Height (inches)
Weight (pounds)
Freight Density (Pounds per cubic foot) =

How to Measure Cylindrical Freight Density

To measure the density of cylindrical freight you multiply the greatest dimension on the cylindrical plane by itself, then multiply that result by the object's height or length.

Calculate Cylindrical Freight Density
Greatest Dimension (inches)
Height or Length (inches)
Weight (pounds)

Freight Density (Pounds per cubic foot) =
